As we continue our alphabetical coverage of a few high points from the illustrious career of Cole Porter, e find ourselves (coincidentally) starting this program with a song from his early days, and then moving through other various phases of his esteemed songbook.

Once again, we hit on a good number of songs that are rarely heard any longer, if not almost forgotten. Although Porter’s wry, intelligent way with a lyric and complex approach to melodic construction has gone out of fashion in today’s world of disposable music, you could do a lot worse than to sit through a few near-forgotten works of genius.
