By 1965, it was apparent that the music scene had changed irrevocably and in terms of creativity, was growing exponentially.

The British Invasion grew even stronger and more varied, and America learned to adjust and react to the new sounds – some of our homemade tracks were selling better in England than they were here in America! Certainly, though, most home-grown innovation at this point was coming from Detroit’s Motown label, but the real innovation was the sudden presence of civil rights becoming a popular explicit message in our music.

    Featured tracks include:

The ‘In’ Crowd – Dobie Gray

Give Him a Great Big Kiss – The Shangri-Las

Eight Days a Week – The Beatles

Ferry ‘Cross the Mersey – Gerry and the Pacemakers

Red Roses for a Blue Lady – Bert Kaempfert
