Intense and Fun Album Tracks
May 1993
Episode date - May 15, 2013
It’s rare when music can be both intense and fun simultaneously, but in the Spring of 1993, something was in the air.
Most, if not all, of the albums featured in this program exhibit the rare quality of conveying intensity disguised with indifference or lightheartedness, and the combination is quite effective. It doesn’t always work (David Bowie’s album in particular continued to suffer from comparisons with his earlier work) but it always made for interesting listening.
