    Sly Stone, along with his ingenious blend of bandmates, created something new under the sun. reinventing the sound of soul music to include pop, psychedelia, and R&B, blended together for one of the most innovative albums in the history of R&B/Soul music.

    The album presented a distinct challenge to its listeners by combining incredibly positive minded, funky soul music, mixed with a few songs that were provocative and intended to make the listener think.
