An Hour with Ray Lambiase and The Tin Kickers
Performing Live in the Studio - June 11, 2025
Episode date - June 11, 2025
As the host of a radio show and also as an active musician, I occasionally find myself in the enviable position of meeting incredibly talented people. My position as an active drummer/percussionist allows me to play music with a few of these talented folks, and the radio show gives me the opportunity to support those whose music intrigues me.
I met Ray Lambiase and guitarist Lanny Sichel a few months back because we were all performing together at an annual Dylan tribute show. We became quick friends, but the best surprise was to hear the original music that Ray and his band were making. I was grateful that I could recruit them to do a live hour on American Hit Radio, and to make it even better, they brought Kate Corrigan and old friend Don Gabis to perform live on air.
The songs they perform here (and those heard on the CD) speak for themselves. When I ask our listeners to support live music, Ray Lambiase and The Tin Kickers are a perfect example of the reason I constantly bring up the topic. There’s nothing quite as fulfilling as discovering an artist through a live performance. The experience is personal and incredibly gratifying when you hear something new and original that moves you. I trust you will genuinely enjoy the music that you hear in this program, and I hope you will support live music, and in this case, support Ray Lambiase and The Tin Kickers.
Live in concert at My Father's Place, in Roslyn, NY on July 18, 2019.
