    It seems incredible to me that we are already seven parts into this series, and yet it feels like we are just beginning. When I chose this topic for the ‘How Music Changed’ series, I knew it contained incredibly important information, artists and songs, but even I did not know the wellspring that would be started once we struck the vein.

    While the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame continues to garner praise on various bands and artists (and lately, many with debatable qualifications), the major players in this series can lay claim to recording innumerable well- loved hit records. In truth, if the players at American, Hi and Fame Recording Studios had recorded under their own names instead of the vocalists who they supported, they would register more charted hits than the Beatles and Elvis Presley combined! With this series, we plant to convey the full scope of the impact these players have had on our tastes, even though we don’t even know their names.

    Featured tracks from today’s show include;
