    By the Summer of 1966, the British Invasion was perhaps as strong as it could ever be. Judging by the quality of the material, there are few times in the history of pop music when so much innovation was packed into such a tight time frame.

    For instance, this show features ONLY the British music from the Summer of 1966. From a musical perspective, it was an enormously amazing Summer, perhaps even more interesting than next year’s “Summer of Love”.

    A brief glance at the song titles says all you need to know, so here’s what we cover today;

    1) You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me – Dusty Springfield

    2) Don’t Bring Me Down – The Animals

    3) Rain – The Beatles

    4) Mother’s Little Helper – The Rolling Stones

    5) I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love- Petula Clark

    6) This Door Swings Both Ways – Herman’s Hermits
