    As we hope to convey with this series, the Gospel quartet was (and still is) one of the most popular forms of Gospel music.

    This show features the Dixie Hummingbirds, one of the most well-known of the gospel quartets. We also plan to cover a few other quartets from the mid-twentieth century. Next week, we will continue by focusing on a few friendly rivals.
