    If Gospel music had to be condensed to one single person, opinions would be unanimous regarding who that would be.

    Thomas A. Dorsey did more to promote Gospel music than anyone, and he wrote more timeless classics than anybody else. To this very day, Thomas A. Dorsey remains the undisputed ‘Father of Gospel Music.’ With today’s show, we cover some of his early history and a smattering of his recordings.
