As we near the end of our series covering the ‘boutique’ studios from Memphis to Muscle Shoals, we will spend the last few shows sizing up the way that things panned out for the offshoots of the two biggest players in this series.

For this and the following show, we will follow the progress that took place at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. As this series has shown, the principals of this studio were musicians on hundreds of hits recorded at Rick Hall’s Fame Studios. This show covers the extent of success that they achieved once they set out on their own.
