    As we heard last show, the first half of Jimi Hendrix’s appearance at Woodstock featured some quire exciting albeit odd performances.

    Considering the fact that he boasted a six piece band (essentially the Experience but with an extra guitarist and two conga players who were essentially removed from the mix anyway), but the most exciting and historical moments of the show took place during the second half.

    Hendrix started to unwind and let loose, and you can almost feel the fire and tension coming from his guitar on these performances. This is his most famous (and most violent) version of the Star-Spangled Banner and from there he just soars.
