Eight years had passed since “Bridges to Babylon” when the Rolling Stones finally released “A Bigger Bang” in 2005 (What is with the letter ‘B’ alliterations here?).

Eight years is a long time to wait for a collection of new material – that is the same amount of time that passed between “Satisfaction” and “Angie” – but the Stones were not concerned. They were doing just fine releasing live album souvenirs for their gigantic touring operation, along with a seemingly endless series of hit compilations.

It has now been nine years since “A Bigger Bang” so it naturally begs the question of whether the band will ever reconvene or if they will simply fade away. Time will tell, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for the next album.
