I know that an awful lot of people have this idea that professional musicians make a lot of money, but the truth is that it in 99% of the cases, it simply isn’t true. Musicians struggle for a living. Even some of the musicians who have label deals and tour work hard for little pay.

It all seems so glamorous from afar, but when you’re in it, you see it for what it is. Jimi Hendrix started out as a starving sideman, working for miniscule pay and sometimes sleeping on the street, even when he was recording with well-known artists like the Isley Brothers and Litle Richard. With this show, it will become obvious that musical success does not come easily, if it comes at all.

    Featured tracks include:

Have You Ever Been Disappointed – The Isley Brothers

Move on Over and Let Me Dance – The Isley Brothers

    Shotgun – Buddy and Stacey

    Testify – The Isley Brothers

    Mercy, Mercy – Don Covay

Can’t Stay Away – Don Covay

Dancing All Over the World – Little Richard

I Don’t Know What You Got, But It’s Got Me – Little Richard
