    You need to be careful with King Crimson. Wading through their catalog is like swimming with sharks, or playing with a prickly pear.

    First, it’s enormous, with a truckload of live collections and multi-disc releases (“Court of the Crimson King” is now available as a 5 disk set, for instance). But more than that is the music, a tangled web of cranial, rhythmic ideas welded to obscure subjects that make them one of the most ‘dense’ bands in the history of rock and roll.

    Their reputation as the godfathers of progressive rock is well deserved, and here is where it all started. It didn’t stay here for long.

    Featured tracks include;

    21st Century Schizoid Man

    I Talk to the Wind

    Epitaph

    Moonchild

    In the Court of the Crimson King
