The Beatles: Live Hamburg Material
Episode 4

This show features part four in our coverage of the Beatles. Although they would go on to become the most lauded, influential and successful group of all time, this period finds them facing considerable difficulty in getting a recording contract, or even recognition.
While Brian Epstein worked diligently to obtain a contract for “his boys”, the group returned to Germany for a third time, wondering whether their prospects would improve. At least Brian Epstein had a positive influence on the band’s live performance. Gone were the reckless stage antics. In their place were a few well-polished sets of tunes that seemingly got better and better.
