    On this show we cover the time period between March and May of 1965 – a relatively short period of time to find a sizeable number of pop hits.

    In this case, we’re limiting ourselves exclusively to artists from the British Invasion, so it should be apparent just how strong the British influence had become by the Spring of 1965, as each one of these singles made a significant impact on the charts, as well as on American music fans. Few trends before or since had such a consistent and outstanding impact on the pop charts.

    Here’s a list of songs covered;

    Heart of Stone – The Rolling Stones

    What Have They Done to the Rain – The Searchers

    Eight Days a Week – The Beatles

    Ferry ‘Cross the Mersey – Gerry & the Pacemakers

    Goldfinger – Shirley Bassey

    Red Roses for a Blue Lady – Bert Kaempfert & His Orchestra

    Yeh Yeh – Georgie Fame & the Blue Flames

    I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party – The Beatles

    I’m Telling You Now – Freddie & the Dreamers

    Game of Love – Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders

    Go Now – The Moody Blues

    Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood – The Animals

    Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter – Herman’s Hermits
