    Two shows back, we covered the ‘kings’ of rock and roll, Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley.

    They certainly laid the groundwork for a rock and roll guitar style, providing the template for an entire generation, but there were others who pushed the genre into new territory.

    Two of this shows featured players never became household names and remain obscure except to the afficionados and fans that still hold them in high regard. Buddy Holly is one of the most obvious influencers, writing a seemingly endless stream of timeless guitar-based songs that remain popular to this very day.
