After focusing an entire show on Chet Atkins last week, it felt right to follow it up with a show dedicated to those who followed Chet, so this show features six guitarists who followed Chet in one way or another.

They are not necessarily stylistically related, but they are all session cats who helped in one way or another to broaden the Nashville Sound, as Chet did.

    Featured tracks include:

Slowly – Webb Pierce (w/ Bud Isaacs)

    Bud’s Bounce – Bud Isaacs

Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy – Red Foley (w/ Harold Bradley)

Indescribably Blue – Elvis Presley (w/ Harold Bradley)

The Battle of New Orleans – Johnny Horton (w/ Grady Martin and Harold Bradley)

El Paso – Marty Robbins (w/ Grady Martin)

Help Me Make It Through the Night – Sammi Smith w/ Grady Martin

I’m Moving On – Hank Snow

I’ve Been Everywhere – Hank Snow

Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain – Hank Snow

Half a Mind – Ernest Tubb (w/ Buddy Emmons

Sweet Dreams – Faron Young (w/ Buddy Emmons)

Stand By Your Man – Tammy Wynette (w/ Pete Drake)
