Our previous show featured the first use of a ‘pickup’ amplified guitar played through an amplifier, but this show takes us to the ‘modern’ era, as it features the earliest recordings of ‘electric’ guitars.

George Barnes is surely the center of attention, not simply for being the first, but also for being one of the best and most diverse guitarists of all time. An entire series could be dedicated to the work of George Barnes, but I hope that our presentation will, at the least, inspire you to dig deeper. From here, the sky is the limit.

    Featured tracks include:

Love Me or Leave Me – Eddie Durham & Freddie Green
