The Kinks: The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society (Part 2)
Episode 16
Episode date - January 19, 2018
Every now and then, our show format causes a bit of redundancy in what we cover. It happened not too long ago when our “How Music Changed” series on Simon and Garfunkel overlapped our coverage of the ”Bookends” album, and something similar happens again now.
A few months ago on our other channel program we covered “Village Green Preservation Society” in full, but since we are now covering the full history of the Kinks on our Friday program, we have reached the part in our story where we cover the same again. I hardly mind at all, because this is certainly one of my personal favorite albums, and since it had been so woefully neglected in its own time, it almost feels like a public service to give this album the exposure it always deserved. So sit back and enjoy it again, or perhaps for the first time.
