We said we were going to stop at 1962, and this show should help to explain why we made that decision.

This is the point where everything exploded, and guitar music became absolutely ubiquitous. 1962 is the point where there was no turning back. Bands were forming everywhere, and every band had at least one hotshot guitarist – some had two or three.

Here, the best we can do is point to the players from the early sixties who provided inspiration for all the great players who followed. We still have a few blues players who need to be recognized, so that’s where we’ll focus our attention on this, our ‘second to last’ show in this series.
