Rock and Roll grew and spread unabated throughout 1957, to the point where seemingly unrelated genres started to be identified as rock and roll.
Harlem doo-wop, country harmony, and even crooners were now associated with the raucous youth movement. Such was its power that every song except one in today’s program would have fit under the rock and roll umbrella.
