Looking back, it’s very interesting to note that both Lou Reed and John Cale almost simultaneously created some of the best music of their solo careers, releasing albums that would define the next few decades of their careers.

We covered Lou Reed’s “Transformer” last show, so now it’s Cale’s turn. With a few extra minutes, we add tracks from a live reunion at Le Bataclan in 1972 that existed as a popular bootleg for decades but was ‘officially’ released in 2004.

    Featured songs include:

    Child’s Christmas in Wales

    Hanky Panky Nohow

    The Endless Plain of Fortune

    Andalucia

    Macbeth

    Paris 1919

    Graham Greene

    Half Past France

    Antarctica Starts Here

    Ghost Story

    Empty Bottles

    All Tomorrow’s Parties
